Rockies seeking fifth straight win, sweep of Brewers

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Colorado Rockies will look for their fifth consective victory Sunday when they go a three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Rockies have received a huge boost from Brad Hawpe, who hit the game-winning home run in the first two games of the series after coming off the disabled list.

Hawpe wasted little time getting it done Saturday, connecting on his second career grand slam in the first inning as Colorado cruised to a 6-2 triumph. He is batting .243 with five blasts and 23 RBI this season.

Jeff Suppan (3-4, 3.93 ERA) will try to help the Brewers avoid their third straight defeat.

The righthander did not receive a decision in his last start - a 4-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. He allowed three runs and seven hits with two walks and six strikeouts over seven innings.

The Rockies will counter with lefthander Jeff Francis (2-5, 5.53), who tossed seven scoreless frames in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He yielded just four hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

Entering this series, Milwaukee had won its previous six games and nine of its last 10 contests.
