Magic dump Heat in preseason finale

Dec 22, 2011 - 3:21 AM Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Glen Davis dropped 18 points, leading the Orlando Magic to a 104-100 win over the Miami Heat in the preseason finale for both clubs at Amway Center.

Jameer Nelson ended his night with 14 points and 10 assists, while Dwight Howard netted 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Jason Richardson added 15 points and three steals for the Magic.

LeBron James led the Heat with 27 points, while Dwyane Wade finished with 21 points. Norris Cole chipped in with 11 points. Offseason acquisitions Shane Battier and Eddy Curry did not suit up for the game.

The teams split their two-game preseason series.

Orlando shot 50 percent from the floor, while Miami shot 41.4 percent.

The Magic will open their season on Sunday on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Miami will face the defending NBA Champion Mavericks on Sunday in Dallas in a rematch of last season's NBA finals.
