Sonics close out road trip with lowly Grizzlies

Dec 18, 2006 - 3:57 PM Seattle (10-15) at Memphis (5-19) 8:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Seattle SuperSonics wrap up their disappointing road trip against the struggling Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

The SuperSonics continued to fall short on their trek after a 97-93 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. It was their fourth straight loss overall and fifth away from home.

Rashard Lewis scored 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds and Chris Wilcox added 21 points for Seattle, which was outrebounded, 54-32.

The Grizzlies are not doing much better since they have dropped their last six contests. On Saturday, Mike Miller and Hakim Warrick both netted 20 points but Memphis fell short, 98-90, to Miami.

Pau Gasol had 11 points in second game back from a broken foot suffered in the offseason.

The Grizzlies won three of four against the Sonics last season.
