Bucks seek sixth consecutive home victory vs. Nets

Dec 23, 2006 - 3:44 PM New Jersey (11-15) at Milwaukee (12-14) 8:30 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- While Michael Redd gets most of the credit on the Milwaukee Bucks, Mo Williams is forcing opponents to notice him.

Williams looks to continue his spectacular play Saturday when the Bucks host the New Jersey Nets.

After posting his first career triple-double Wednesday against the defending champion Miami Heat, Williams made 10-of-21 shots and scored 26 points Friday to help give the Bucks a 113-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Averaging 28.1 points to rank among the league leaders, Redd hit 11-of-25 shots to score 29 points as Milwaukee ended a seven-game losing streak at Minnesota.

Starting in place of Ruben Paterson, who did not make the trip with a stomach virus, Charlie Bell scored 22 of his 28 points in the first half. He finished 10-of-19 from the floor.

Trailing by 13-points in the fourth quarter on Friday, New Jersey rallied but fell short in a 99-95 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite being four games under .500 and losing its last two contests, New Jersey is just one-half game behind Toronto for first place in the mediocre Atlantic Division.

Milwaukee has won 10 of the last 14 meetings against New Jersey but dropped both encounters last season.
