Bucks used balanced attack to top Nets

Dec 24, 2006 - 7:32 AM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Michael Redd is used to being the primary option for the Milwaukee Bucks. He may have to share the spotlight.

While Redd contributed 21 points, fellow guards Maurice Williams and Charlie Bell combined for 52 points as the Bucks routed the New Jersey Nets, 115-104, for their season-high fourth straight win.

Andrew Bogut collected 18 points and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee, which shot 55 percent (43-of-78) from the field for its sixth straight win at the Bradley Center.

"Anytime you win six in a row it (confidence) gets high," Redd said. "We have some tough games coming up on the road, so we needed this push."

Entering Saturday's game as one of the top scorers in the NBA at 28.2 points per game, Redd has had some help in the past two contests. After Bell, Williams and Redd combined for 83 points in a 113-107 victory over Minnesota on Friday, the trio was on fire again one night later.

"(Bell and Williams) are playing extremely well, teams better recognize that they can play," Redd said. "They've been a key for our team as of late. I really like what (they) are doing right now. We are playing with a lot of energy and the more you win, the more energy you're going to play with."

"We're shooting the ball well right now and I feel like I'm getting it going a little bit," Williams said. "There aren't too many teams that can have three guards get it going like we have."

Williams scored a season-high 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting, Bell added 20 on 8-of-15 and Redd was 9-of-17 from the floor.

"(Our confidence) is at a high level going on the road, Williams said. "We're happy with how we're playing the entire game right now. We're doing a lot of good things on the floor."

Eddie House scored 22 points for the Nets, who shot 42 percent (39-of-93) to absorb their second straight loss.

"I play this game to win, to help my team win," House said. "I had effort, but at the same time, we lost. I score, we lost. I don't score or score two, three points, we win, I would much rather win than put up numbers."
