Mavs seek to continue domination of Bulls

Jan 25, 2007 - 2:53 PM Dallas (35-8) at Chicago (24-19) 8:00 pm EST

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Superstar Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks enjoy visiting the Windy City.

The red-hot Mavericks aim to extend their winning streak to nine games when they face the Bulls on Thursday.

Dallas has won 16 of the last 17 meetings, including seven straight here. On November 14, Nowitzki collected 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mavericks to a 111-99 triumph over the Bulls.

Dallas earned its 21st win in 22 games on Tuesday, rolling to a 111-92 triumph over the Orlando Magic. Nowitzki led the way with 33 points, nine rebounds and eight assists and Josh Howard scored 25 points.

Chicago snapped a two-game losing skid Tuesday here against the Atlanta Hawks with a 94-86 triumph. Third-year swingman Luol Deng led six players in double figures with 18 points.

The Bulls have cooled off since going 14-3 in December. They are just 5-7 this month.

Chicago's Ben Gordon will try and bounce back from a 12-point performance on Tuesday. It was just the second time in January he failed to score at least 20 points.
