Bobcats hope to build off dramatic win

Jan 27, 2007 - 4:12 PM Charlotte (15-27) at Golden State (20-23) 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Charlotte Bobcats hope to ride the momentum of an overtime win when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

The Bobcats completed a season series sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers with a 106-97 overtime victory on Friday.

Emeka Okafor collected 20 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks and Matt Carroll also scored 20 for the Bobcats. On December 29, Charlotte beat the Lakers in triple overtime, 133-124.

However, Charlotte is just 4-10 against the rest of the Western Conference.

A little more than a week after pulling off an eight-player trade with Indiana, the Warriors are reaping some dividends from the deal. On Wednesday, Golden State rallied for a 110-109 victory over New Jersey.

Monta Ellis hit an open jumper as time expired and Al Harrington, who was one of the four players acquired from Indiana, scored 29 points for the Warriors.

Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell also were obtained by the Warriors in the January 17 deal.

The Bobcats defeated the Warriors, 104-101, last March in the most recent matchup between the teams.
