Redd, Bucks look to push winning streak to four games

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - With Michael Redd healthy again, the Milwaukee Bucks are still entertaining thoughts of making the playoffs.

Having won three straight games behind their sharpshooter, the Bucks on Sunday play host to the Chicago Bulls, who are beginning a four-game road trip.

Considered a postseason possibility at the outset of the season, Milwaukee has been beset by injuries, with Redd, fellow guard Mo Williams and forward Charlie Villanueva all missing long stretches.

The Bucks lost 22 of 25 games and appeared to drop out of playoff contention. But anything is possible in the weak Eastern Conference, where Milwaukee's recent surge has it within six games of New Jersey for the final postseason berth.

The streak - Milwaukee's first three-game run since December - has been fueled by Redd, who has led the Bucks in scoring in each of their three wins, averaging 26 points. He scored 21 points and Charlie Bell added 19 in Friday's 94-81 victory at Toronto.

The Bulls also won Friday, riding Ben Gordon's 27 points to a 104-93 home victory over the New Orleans Hornets. Chicago has won two in a row and five of seven as it tracks its third straight postseason berth.

Chicago is looking for a four-game season series sweep of Milwaukee, having averaged 109 points in the first three meetings. The Bulls also swept four games from the Bucks in the 2004-05 campaign.
