Spurs roll into Oklahoma City

Nov 14, 2010 - 3:53 PM (Sports Network) - The streaking San Antonio Spurs will roll into Oklahoma City this evening for a showdown against Kevin Durant and the Thunder.

San Antonio has won six in a row and kept its winning ways intact with Saturday's 116-93 rout of the visiting Philadelphia 76ers in the Alamo City. Tony Parker had 24 points and seven assists, Manu Ginobili added 18 points and DeJuan Blair chipped in 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

"I thought (Parker) had an excellent game," said Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. "It might have been his best game when you combine the aggressiveness on offense, the attention to detail and tenacity defensively against good scoring guards. I thought he did a fine job."

The Spurs also got 16 points from George Hill and put the Sixers away early with a 22-2 run. They will put their 3-0 road mark on the line tonight. Tim Duncan has scored in single digits the last two games and is still battling flu-like symptoms.

San Antonio has won seven straight and 23 of the last 24 home games versus Philadelphia, which hasn't won in the Alamo City since an 83-77 victory on January 3, 2004.

Meanwhile, the Thunder will close out a four-game homestand Sunday and have won two straight and three of their last four games.

In a 110-108 victory versus Portland on Friday, Russell Westbrook finished with a career-high 36 points and Durant scored 34 points to help the Thunder improve to 2-1 on the residency and 3-2 overall at home this season.

"We got the stops we needed in the fourth quarter," Oklahoma City head coach Scott Brooks said. "Our guys really responded by buckling down on defense."

Serge Ibaka, Nenad Krstic and James Harden each finished with 12 points in a winning cause. Durant is leading the NBA with 28.9 points per contest. On the injury front for Oklahoma City, forward Jeff Green is questionable with a sprained left ankle and has missed three straight games.

San Antonio won three of four matchups with the Thunder a year ago and is 15-5 in the previous 20 contests in this series. The Spurs are unbeaten in their last three trips to OKC.
