Blazers and Suns clash at Rose Garden

Dec 7, 2010 - 3:40 PM (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Suns take aim at their fourth straight win tonight, as they make a stop in the Rose City to take on the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Suns posted their third consecutive win with Sunday's 125-108 triumph versus Washington in the desert. Steve Nash recorded a season-high 17 assists and finished with 20 points, while Hakim Warrick came off the bench to tally a season-high 26 points and six rebounds.

"You play with that guy, he'll find you," Warrick said of Nash. "If you run to the basket and be aggressive he'll find you. I think the shooters did a good job tonight when he found them."

Jason Richardson netted 21 points for Phoenix, which outscored the Wizards by a 31-17 margin in the third quarter. Richardson has scored 20 or more points in seven straight games.

Portland will resume a three-game homestand Tuesday and ended a six-game losing streak with Sunday's 100-91 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Rose Garden.

Andre Miller finished with 13 points, six assists and five steals for the Blazers, who got a game-high 26 points from Wesley Matthews. Marcus Camby had a double-double of 12 points and a season-high 19 rebounds in the win.

"We got the monkey off our back," said Blazers center Joel Przybilla, who had one point and one rebound in less than 10 minutes of action.

Miller, however, will serve a one-game suspension tonight for making unnecessary contact with Clippers center Blake Griffin at the conclusion of the game. Portland will also host Orlando on the homestand and is 5-3 in the Rose City.

Portland defeated Phoenix, 106-92, back on Oct. 26 this season in the Pacific Northwest, but the Suns have won 12 of the past 17 meetings in the series. The Suns are winless in their last four games at the Blazers.
