Knicks visit Dixie to take on Hawks

Jan 28, 2011 - 4:26 PM (Sports Network) - Coming off a huge home win over LeBron James and the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden, the confident New York Knicks look to end a four-game road losing streak tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.

New York has won two in a row since a six-game slide and recorded a 93-88 triumph over the Heat on Thursday night. Amare Stoudemire scored 24 points and Danilo Gallinari had 20 for the Knicks, who used a 21-12 run down the stretch to send James and Company packing with a loss.

"The first game we played well in the first half, the second game we played well in the second half," said Stoudemire. "Tonight we put a total 40-minute game together and got the win."

Landry Fields added 19 points and 13 boards in a winning effort. The Knicks lead the NBA with 105.8 points per game on the road and own a 12-12 ledger as the visitor this season.

Atlanta has dropped two of three games and sustained a 98-90 loss in Milwaukee on Wednesday night.

Jamal Crawford led the way with 20 points off the bench and Al Horford ended with 17 points, 10 boards and five assists for the Hawks. Joe Johnson and Josh Smith had 15 and 14 points, respectively, in defeat.

"You have to give Milwaukee credit. They were resilient tonight," Horford said. "That shows the character of the team. They kept with it."

Hawks guard Mike Bibby (hand) is probable for tonight's game. Crawford is averaging 20.5 points in his last 12 games.

Atlanta defeated New York, 99-90, on Nov. 27 this season at Madison Square Garden, as Crawford led six Hawks in double figures with 21 points in a reserve role. The Knicks have lost six of nine games at Philips Arena.
