Cavs down Pistons to begin preseason
Dec 17, 2011 - 4:04 AM Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Kyrie Irving, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, scored a game-high 21 points in his professional debut to lead the Cavaliers to a 91-87 exhibition win over the Pistons.Samardo Samuels and Antawn Jamison chipped in 15 and 13 points, respectively, for Cleveland, which created 21 turnovers and had 21 giveaways in a sloppy game.
Greg Monroe totaled 12 points and 13 rebounds, Austin Daye netted 18 points and Ben Gordon added 17 for the Pistons.
