Jazz target another home win over Bucks

Jan 3, 2012 - 3:43 PM (Sports Network) - Utah will aim to remain perfect in Salt Lake City on the young season when the club shoots for its 10th consecutive home win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Jazz have gone winless in their three road starts, losing by an average of 19 points, but improved to 2-0 at EnergySolutions Arena on Monday by opening up a three-game homestand with a 94-90 win over the New Orleans Hornets.

Al Jefferson, in his second game back since sitting out with a balky ankle, scored 22 points while making 11-of-18 shots from the floor to lead Utah.

Devin Harris added 19 points, Josh Howard, who was fined $25,000 earlier in the day for a flagrant foul in San Antonio last week, had 13 and C.J. Miles contributed 11 for the Jazz in a game that saw 11 lead changes and nine ties.

"I think it started with our defense," Jefferson said. "In the third quarter we kind of traded baskets back-to-back-to-back. But we kind of broke it down to what we needed to and got some stops in the last six minutes of the fourth. We proved that we could do it."

The Bucks, meanwhile, are still looking for their first road victory after falling to a Nene-less Denver team, 91-86, last night during the first game of a five-game trek away from Brew City.

Stephen Jackson paced Milwaukee, which will also visit Sacramento, the LA Clippers and Phoenix on its swing, with 17 points, while Carlos Delfino, starting in place of the flu-ridden Mike Dunleavy, added 14 and Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings both had 12. Jennings, however, had a season-high six turnovers and a season-low three assists.

"We didn't play very well," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "We kind of threw the ball all over the place."

Dunleavy didn't make the trip out to Denver but is expected to join his team tonight.

Milwaukee hasn't won in Salt Lake City since 2001 and has dropped 11 of 13 overall vs. the Jazz.
