Heat square off with Warriors in Oakland

Jan 10, 2012 - 3:50 PM (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat have dealt with nagging injuries to both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to compile the NBA's best record at 8-1.

Tonight the Heat expect to be without Wade for a fourth straight contest as they look to improve their perfect 5-0 road record in Oakland against the reeling Golden State Warriors.

Wade is officially listed as questionable for tonight but a painful case of plantar fasciitis in his left foot has Miami considering shutting down the dynamic All-Star for the foreseeable future.

James, meanwhile, returned after missing Thursday's 116-109 triple-overtime win at Atlanta with a sprained left ankle to score 32 points in Saturday?s 101-90 triumph at New Jersey. "The King" also dished out nine assists and pulled down seven rebounds in his return to the lineup.

"We turn the ball over, and he's gone," Nets head coach Avery Johnson said of James. "He is a combination of a tight end, wide receiver [and] running back once he gets two or three steps on you."

Chris Bosh tallied 16 points and two blocks for the Heat, who have won 10 consecutive regular season road games dating back to last year. Udonis Haslem added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Miami, which has won three in a row overall.

The Warriors, who are in the midst of a six-game skid vs. Miami, are coming off a disastrous 0-4 road trip, culminating in Saturday's 88-87 heartbreaking loss in Utah. Gordon Hayward hit the deciding free throw in the closing seconds of that one, giving the Jazz a hard-fought win.

Monta Ellis scored 32 points to lead Golden State, but his turnover down the stretch led to Hayward getting fouled in transition with 11 seconds remaining. Hayward made 1-of-2 from the line giving the Warriors one last chance.

Ellis dribbled down the clock at the other end and was unable to get by the staunch defense of Raja Bell, resulting in a fallaway jumper from the right baseline that found the rim as the final buzzer sounded, sealing Golden State's fifth straight setback.

Brandon Rush scored 14 points off the Warriors' bench, but committed the critical foul on Hayward after Ellis threw the ball away, the last of 17 turnovers for the hosts.

David Lee logged 13 points and 15 rebounds in defeat for the Warriors, who continue to play without star guard Stephen Curry. The third-year pro has missed Golden State's last two games with a sprained right ankle and will miss at least two more as he undergoes further evaluation on the East Coast.

"We've got to make it happen. No one's going to hand deliver us a win, we have to go get it," Warriors head coach Mark Jackson said.

In other injury news for the Warriors, center Andris Biedrins has missed the past two games with a balky right ankle and is listed as day-to-day.
