76ers entertain Bucks in south Philly

Jan 16, 2012 - 3:45 PM (Sports Network) - A red-hot Philadelphia team will seek its ninth win in 10 starts on Monday when it hosts a Milwaukee club still searching for its first road win of the season.

Andre Iguodala filled the stat sheet with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals on Saturday, as the Sixers dominated Washington, 103-90, to beat the Wizards for a second straight night.

Lou Williams totaled 24 points for the Sixers, who cruised to a 31-point win on Friday in Philadelphia. Thaddeus Young added 18 points while Jrue Holiday scored 13 points and Elton Brand netted 12 for the Sixers.

"We don't want to allow them to get close," Williams said. "I think that's one of the big things that's been huge for us early on. We have substantial leads and try to keep them. That's the same thing that happened tonight."

Philly has been even better at home (5-0) and is off to its best start in the City of Brotherly Love since beginning the 2000-01 season with 10 consecutive wins as the host.

The Bucks, meanwhile, remained winless on the road after Thursday's 102-76 setback in Dallas.

Brandon Jennings scored 19 and Shaun Livingston chipped in 15 in that won for the Bucks, who saw their two-game win streak come to an end and fell to 0-7 as the visitor on the season.

Star center Andrew Bogut didn't play after suffering a concussion in last Thursday's win over the Pistons. That was just Bogut's second game back after missing four straight games -- all Milwaukee losses -- while dealing with a personal matter.

"We appeared to be slow and non-reactive," said Bucks coach Scott Skiles. "There are some teams you can get away with that for a quarter, quarter and a half and it's not as glaring. But the way they share and shoot the ball, if they're going in you know you're in trouble pretty quick."

Bogut is expected back in the lineup this afternoon as Milwaukee attempts to avoid starting 0-8 on the road for the first time since dropping their first 16 away from home back in 1976-77.

The Bucks are 4-2 this season when Bogut plays and are winless (0-5) when he does not.
