Lowly Pistons resume road trip in Milwaukee

Jan 30, 2012 - 3:34 PM (Sports Network) - The lowly Detroit Pistons will resume a four-game road trip tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

Detroit opened the trek with Saturday's 95-74 loss at Philadelphia, as Greg Monroe chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort. Austin Daye posted 12 points and Rodney Stuckey finished with 11 for the Pistons, losers of four straight and 14 of their last 16 games.

The Pistons shot 34.9 percent and committed 12 turnovers for 16 Philadelphia points.

"We couldn't sustain anything. As the game went on they started to get easier and easier baskets in transition," Detroit head coach Lawrence Frank said.

Frank's club is 1-9 away from The Palace of Auburn Hills and will also visit New York and New Jersey on the trip. The Pistons have dropped four in a row on the road. Guard Ben Gordon did not play in Philly due to a sore left shoulder and is out indefinitely. Daye is questionable with a right ankle injury.

The Bucks will continue a three-game homestand tonight and are coming off Saturday's 100-89 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Drew Gooden had 23 points and both Ersan Ilyasova and Mike Dunleavy scored 15 points off the bench for a Milwaukee team that used a 17-0 burst in between the first and second quarter to put the Lakers away.

"They came in with a ton of energy tonight and really picked up the building," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said of his reserves.

Milwaukee was without injured center Andrew Bogut, who will miss up to three months with a fractured left ankle, and guard Stephen Jackson. Jackson served a one-game suspension for verbally abusing an official and not leaving the court in a timely manner against Chicago on Friday. Jackson is eligible to return this evening.

The Bucks have won four of their last six games and are 5-2 as the host. They will close out the homestand Wednesday versus Miami.

Milwaukee defeated Detroit already this season by a 102-93 score on Jan. 12 at the Bradley Center, as Brandon Jennings scored 27 points and Jackson registered 25. Detroit is still a solid 14-6 in the past 20 meetings between the two Central Division foes.
