Heat look for 4 in a row, take on Pistons

Miami's trio still has some work to do before All-Star festivities and will try to keep the Heat on track Friday versus the visiting Detroit Pistons.
The Southeast Division-leading Heat have won three in a row and four of five games, including Wednesday's hard-fought 123-116 overtime win versus the Toronto Raptors in south Florida. Wade scored a season-high 35 points and James recorded a triple-double with 31 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. James did miss a shot at the end of regulation that could have won it.
"We were a step slow...early in the game," James said after his 34th career triple-double. "It definitely took us a half to get back into the flow of things."
Ray Allen scored 18 points off the bench and Bosh posted 12 and 12 boards.
Miami is 17-3 as the host and will embark on a four-game road trip, starting with Sunday's meeting at Boston.
Detroit looks to get back on track after having a two-game winning streak stopped with Wednesday's 85-82 setback at Chicago in the opener of a three- game road swing.
Brandon Knight scored 13 points to go with seven assists, Kyle Singler scored 12 points, and Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey finished with 11 points apiece for the Pistons, losers in three of their last five games.
The Pistons also blew a 55-38 lead in the second half after holding Chicago to 27.3 percent shooting in the first quarter. Chicago opened the fourth quarter with a 21-5 run.
"We just have to play with more discipline and poise down the stretch," Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank said.
Detroit will close out the trek Sunday at Orlando and is only 4-15 as the guest.
The Pistons posted an improbable 109-99 victory over the Heat at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Dec. 28 this season, snapping a seven-game slide in the series. Miami has won 12 of the last 14 matchups with Detroit, which is winless in three straight on the shores of Biscayne Bay.
