Bucks battle Pistons at The Palace

(Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks hope to continue their fine form on Tuesday night when they visit The Palace of Auburn Hills to meet the Central Division-rival Detroit Pistons.

The Bucks have won four of their last five, including two on the road. They lost their last road outing, a 113-108 setback at Cleveland to the Cavaliers, but rebounded Saturday night with a home victory over the Golden State Warriors.

The spectacular backcourt of Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings played brilliantly on Saturday night. They both scored 20 points and combined for 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Ellis buried a late 3-pointer against his old squad to seal the win, but Jennings' 18 third-quarter points made a huge difference.

"We needed to score, so (Jennings) came out in the second half and did what he needed to do for our team," interim head coach Jim Boylan said.

Larry Sanders extended his blocks streak to 29 games, which tied Tim Duncan for the longest active streak in the league. Sanders also had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ersan Ilyasova recorded 18 points and 12 boards.

A win on Tuesday would send the Bucks five games over .500 for the first time this season. Milwaukee plays four of its next six on the road.

The Pistons capped off a three-game road trip with a wild 104-102 win in Orlando on Sunday night. It was thanks to a career night from Brandon Knight the Pistons avoided an 0-3 trek.

Knight made two late 3-pointers, which gave him five for the game, and he poured in a career-best 31 points. Knight went 12-for-16 from the field as the Pistons survived a slew of last-second putbacks by the Magic.

"The ball bounces funny sometimes and you have to get some of those bounces and make some of those effort plays," said Knight. "I have to commend my teammates for making those effort plays towards the end of the game.

"I have to commend my teammates who did a great job of looking for me and seeing I was making shots. A lot of it came from them trying to create for me."

Greg Monroe, Charlie Villanueva and Kyle Singler each scored in double figures.

The Pistons have won two in a row at home, where they will play eight of the next 11.

Detroit has won both matchups this season against Milwaukee, with one at home and one in Brew City. The teams have split the last six meetings.
