Bucks cap short trip in Utah

Feb 6, 2013 - 3:29 PM (Sports Network) - Randy Foye has been an aid to the recent success of the Utah Jazz and looks to contribute some more Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks in the continuation of a three-game homestand at EnergySolutions Arena.

Foye averaged 12.6 points on 46.9 percent shooting last month and is posting an average of 19 ppg through three games in February. Foye recorded 20 points and six assists in Monday's 98-91 overtime victory versus the Sacramento Kings and produced six points during the extra period, which Utah had a 14-7 edge.

Al Jefferson registered his 23rd double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Paul Millsap and Alec Burks scored 14 points apiece in the win, Utah's 12th in the last 17 tries. Derrick Favors added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Jazz, who bounced back from a road loss at Portland.

"I thought Alec came off and made a couple big shots for us," Jazz head coach Tyrone Corbin said. "Burks did a great job for us."

Burks' 14 points and 31 minutes played were a season high.

Jazz guard Gordon Hayward (shoulder) missed his fifth straight game and is out indefinitely. He is averaging 13.5 ppg this season.

Utah has won three in a row in Salt Lake City and is 18-5 as the host. It will close out the homestand Friday versus the Chicago Bulls.

Milwaukee will wrap up a brief road trip Wednesday and is coming off Tuesday's 112-104 loss at Denver.

The Bucks received a big boost from an unlikely candidate in defeat as Samuel Dalembert scored a career-high 35 points on 17-of-21 shooting and had 12 rebounds. Larry Sanders, Monta Ellis, Brandon Jennings and Luc Mbah a Moute all recorded 12 points for Milwaukee, which has dropped three of four and four of its last seven games.

"It's one of those nights you know, you try to make the best of what you get out there," said Dalembert, who deposited 21 points in the first half.

Jennings also handed out 10 assists and Sanders posted five blocks before leaving the game with a lower back and hip issue. Sanders has blocked at least one shot in 33 straight games and has swatted five or more shots in a game 10 times in 2012-13. He is questionable for Wednesday's game.

After visiting the Jazz, Milwaukee, which is 12-12 as the guest, will return to Brew City for three straight games versus Detroit, Washington and Philadelphia.

The Bucks and Jazz are meeting for the first time since Utah recorded an 85-73 triumph last Jan. 3 in Salt Lake City. The Jazz have won three in a row and 12 of the past 14 matchups with Milwaukee, losers in 10 straight as the visitor in this series. The Bucks are only 3-20 in the past 23 at Utah.

Milwaukee's last win in the Beehive State came on Oct. 30, 2001, when Ray Allen tallied 32 points in a 119-112 overtime victory.
