Final
Henderson, Bobcats down 76ers
Apr 4, 2013 - 4:18 AM Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Henderson scored 24 points and provided the go-ahead basket in the final minute in leading the Charlotte Bobcats to an 88-83 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.Josh McRoberts added 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Kemba Walker netted 17 points with 10 assists as the Bobcats snapped a three-game slide.
Damien Wilkins paced the Sixers with 20 points, while Dorell Wright and Evan Turner chipped in 14 apiece in the loss.
Jrue Holiday was an abominable 2-of-24 from the field for Philadelphia, which was trying for its first four-game winning streak of the season.
"It was just one of those nights," Holiday said. "They played good defense around the basket, but a lot of shots were just in and out."
With the score tied, 80-80, Walker dribbled into the paint and sent a lob to McRoberts for a go-ahead slam with 1:36 remaining.
Holiday missed his 16th straight shot at the other end, but got his own rebound and put in a layup to tie things again.
After Wright created a turnover, Wilkins made 1-of-2 at the foul line, only to have Henderson answer with a jumper with 33.9 seconds to go. Henderson then stole the inbounds pass from Turner and went in for an uncontested dunk, before another Holiday miss essentially sealed the outcome.
"We're just trying to compete and finish the season right," Walker said.
The Sixers had 10 second-chance points in the first quarter, then scored the first eight points of the second to take a healthy 35-19 lead.
The Bobcats answered with a 13-2 run, and though they still trailed by five at halftime, 45-40, they won the third quarter and took a 64-61 edge into the final period.
