Curry-less Warriors welcome Memphis to Oracle Arena

The first 10,000 fans in attendance are expected to receive a Curry 3-point record commemorative bobblehead, but the sharp-shooting floor general suffered a mild concussion Monday night against the Utah Jazz. The Warriors said Tuesday that Curry's only symptom is a mild headache, which had dissipated since he was hurt when Jazz forward Marvin Williams landed on him.
Curry scored 15 of his 22 points in a big second quarter before exiting for the Warriors, who won the game, 98-87. Seven of Golden State's eight wins this season have come by double digits.
"He took a hard spill," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said of Curry after the game. "He's got a little headache right now but it could be a lot worse."
Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes scored 17 points apiece and David Lee posted 14 and 14 rebounds. Andre Iguodala chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists, as Golden State extended its winning streak to four games and improved to 8-3 on the season.
Golden State made 12-of-22 3-pointers and last started 9-3 back in 1991-92. The Warriors are 5-0 at home this season and have won six straight as the host dating back to last season. They last started 6-0 at home in 1990-91 and won seven in a row at Oakland back in 2004.
Warriors veteran center Jermaine O'Neal is questionable Wednesday with a knee and groin issue.
Memphis is 3-0 on a four-game western jaunt and handed the Los Angeles Clippers a 106-102 setback Monday at Staples Center. It was the Clippers' first home loss of the season.
Zach Randolph powered his way to 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while Marc Gasol ended with 23 points, nine boards and eight assists. Mike Conley scored 15 points, including eight during a Memphis run for a 101-91 lead. Memphis, in its typical defensive ways, held L.A. to a season-low .395 shooting.
Grizzlies guard Tony Allen was ejected for kicking Clippers point guard Chris Paul in the face by accident in the first quarter. Allen will serve a one-game suspension Wednesday for receiving the Flagrant 2 foul.
"I accidentally kicked him in the head, but I'm pretty sure he knows it's accidental and that isn't my style of play," Allen said.
Paul knew it was accidental afterward.
"I know Tony. He didn't do it on purpose," Paul said.
With a win against the Warriors, Memphis will tie the second-longest road winning streak in team history (4). The franchise record for most consecutive road wins is seven set from Feb. 17-March 10, 2010. The Grizzlies previously swept a four-game road trip back in March of 2004 against San Antonio, Portland, the Clippers and Warriors.
Meanwhile, Randolph is posting averages of 25.3 points and 12.0 rebounds during this road trip. Gasol is averaging 20.0 points and 8.3 boards over the same stretch.
The Grizz defeated Golden State, 108-90, on Nov. 9 at FedExForum and have won 10 in a row and 15 of the past 18 meetings. Memphis is unbeaten in its last four games at Oracle Arena.
