Scuffling Bucks return home to face Bobcats

Nov 23, 2013 - 3:36 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks hope to put the brakes on their season-high seven-game losing streak when they return to the Bradley Center Saturday to battle the Charlotte Bobcats.

Milwaukee's woes continued with Friday's 115-107 overtime loss at Philadelphia and the Bucks blew a 10-point lead in the last two minutes. Sixers center Spencer Hawes hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Bucks were outscored, 13-5, in the extra period and received 38 points from Caron Butler. Butler made 13-of-22 from the field and Ersan Ilyasova added 19 points, six rebounds and six assists. Gary Neal scored 10 points for Milwaukee, which was outrebounded, 50-32.

"I thought the game was kind of in our control, but we haven't developed a winning brand of basketball yet," said Butler. "With that being said, you tip your hat to Philadelphia."

Milwaukee failed to take advantage of a season-high 26 turnovers by Philly and will now try to stop a three-game home losing streak.

Bucks guard Brandon Knight (hamstring) missed Friday's game and is questionable versus the Bobcats. Knight is in his first season with the Bucks and is averaging only 4.0 points and 2.3 assists.

The Bobcats enter this matchup in Brew City fresh off Friday's 98-91 home loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Gerald Henderson and Kemba Walker scored 17 and 16 points, respectively, and Ramon Sessions chipped in 15 off the bench. Charlotte made 41.6 percent of its shots and scored 28 points off 21 Phoenix turnovers, but couldn't fully shave a 21-point hole. Charlotte had 18 turnovers, leading to 17 Phoenix points.

"We're not going to win games if we have 18 turnovers," Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said. "If we're low turnover, we're going to have a chance to win."

Josh McRoberts (10) was the other Bobcat to score in double figures.

Bobcats big man Al Jefferson returned to the lineup after missing the last four games with an ankle injury. He finished with nine points on 50 percent shooting (3-for-6) to go along with six boards, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 24:56.

After visiting the Bucks, Charlotte will open a three-game homestand Monday versus Boston, Indiana and Milwaukee.

Charlotte and Milwaukee split four meetings last season. The Bucks have won 10 in a row and 15 of the 16 matchups at home in this series.
