Bucks take losing ways to Detroit

Nov 25, 2013 - 3:39 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks will try to halt an eight-game losing streak on Monday night when they visit Central Division rivals, the Detroit Pistons.

The Bucks haven't won since a home victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 6. Milwaukee hasn't won on the road since the second game of the season, a 105-98 decision on Nov. 1.

After a tough overtime loss in Philadelphia on Friday night, the Bucks were dreadful at home on Saturday. They fell 96-72 to the Charlotte Bobcats in a performance that left the head coach angry and apologetic.

"We totally let this city down tonight on the way we played, on our energy and on our intensity," Bucks coach Larry Drew said. "As I told the guys, as long as I'm going to be our head coach here that will never happen again as far as they like it or they don't."

Khris Middleton led the way for the Bucks with 20 points. John Henson had 10 and the Milwaukee starters combined for 18 points. They were outscored by Charlotte's Al Jefferson.

Brandon Knight returned from a 10-day absence and had three points in almost 26 minutes.

The Pistons snapped a two-game slide on Sunday with a 109-97 victory over the hapless Brooklyn Nets.

"Road wins are hard to get. Any time you get a road win, it's huge," said Pistons head coach Maurice Cheeks. "But there's not a team in the NBA that's not going to make a run. Every time you get a lead on a team, they always make a run. It's up to us to hold that run from going any further, especially on the road."

Rodney Stuckey was outstanding for Detroit as he notched 27 points off the bench. Greg Monroe had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Brandon Jennings added 14 points and 10 assists.

Josh Smith (13) and Kyle Singler (11) both scored in double figures. Andre Drummond managed nine points and 10 boards for a Pistons team that scored 29 points off Brooklyn's 18 turnovers.

Detroit scored 65 second-half points and held the Nets to just 15 points in the third quarter.

The Pistons play their next three straight at home after the battle with the Bucks.

The Pistons took three of four against the Bucks last season, but Milwaukee has won two of its last three at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Detroit is 15-5 in its last 20 at home against the Bucks.
