After an impressive road victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, the Cavs returned home to Quicken Loans Arena Friday to wax the Utah Jazz, 99-79.
Kyrie Irving recorded his first career triple-double with 21 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers. He became the first Cavalier to record a triple-double since LeBron James on March 16, 2010.
"I'm excited for Kyrie," said Cavs coach Mike Brown. "For him to go out there and get his first triple-double, that was very fun to watch."
Tristan Thompson deposited an 18-point, 14-rebound double-double, while Spencer Hawes scored 13 points and pulled down 16 boards for the Cavs, who have won three straight against Utah.
Luol Deng scored 16 points and Tyler Zeller added 10 off the bench in the win.
First overall pick Anthony Bennett missed Friday's game against the Jazz, but will travel with the team to Memphis. He is listed as a game-time decision for Saturday.
The Grizzlies had won five of six before a tough setback to the Thunder on Friday in Oklahoma City. Memphis fell 113-107 as Kevin Durant scored 30 of his 37 in the second half.
Mike Miller recorded all 19 of his points in the fourth and Zach Randolph added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who have dropped two of their last three on the heels of a four-game winning streak.
"They were very focused and locked in," Memphis head coach Dave Joerger said of the Thunder. "They played at a very high level and as well as I've seen them play against us in a long time."
The Grizzlies trailed by as many as 19 in the third and were down 87-71 heading into the fourth, where they used a 13-4 run to get back in it.
Marc Gasol had 17 points for the Grizzlies, while Tayshaun Prince chipped in 12, James Johnson managed 11 and Courtney Lee contributed 10 points in the defeat.
The Cavs beat the Grizzlies by eight in overtime in Cleveland on Feb. 9. That halted a four-game winning streak for Memphis, although the Grizz have taken four in a row as the host.
