Bucks try to tune out Jazz

Mar 3, 2014 - 2:35 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The lowly Milwaukee Bucks will try to break a two-game losing streak on Monday night when they welcome the Utah Jazz to the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee has lost at Indiana and at home to the Brooklyn Nets during this most recent slide. The Bucks have dropped two in a row at home, but face a decent chance on Monday night.

The Jazz own a 7-22 road record, which is worst in the Western Conference. Utah is on game three of a six-game eastern trip and is 0-2 with losses in Cleveland and Indiana.

The Bucks' most recent setback came Saturday night at home to the Nets, 107-98.

Ramon Sessions and Khris Middleton netted 16 points apiece and Brandon Knight tallied 14 points for the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ersan Ilyasova had 12 and 11 points, respectively. Ilyasova also pulled down 11 rebounds in defeat.

Milwaukee trailed 89-79 with just over seven minutes to play, but scored six straight to pull within four after a pair of free throws from Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks then began to send Brooklyn to the line. The Nets knocked down 7- of-8 free throws down the stretch and Milwaukee could only muster two baskets in the final minute.

"We had them, it just came down to stops that we didn't get," Middleton admitted.

The Jazz fell to the Pacers on Sunday night, 94-91.

Gordon Hayward scored 21 points and Derrick Favors finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz, losers in two straight. Rookie Trey Burke finished with 16 points and five assists for Utah.

"I've been slumping a little bit the last couple of weeks, but I feel like I'm starting to shoot the ball better these last few games," said Hayward.

The Jazz led 55-47 with 7:42 remaining in the third period, but an 18-4 run gave the Pacers the lead for good.

The Jazz will visit the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers on this sojourn.

Utah beat the Bucks in Salt Lake City on Jan. 2, but has lost three of the last four as the visitor in this series.
