Warriors welcome Kings to Oracle Arena

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors will start their final homestand of the season when they kick off a three-game stay at Oracle Arena Friday night versus the Sacramento Kings.

The Warriors will also host Utah and Denver, and have a 24-13 mark in Oakland this season. They went 3-2 on the last homestand.

Golden State played its last two games on the road, posting a win at Dallas on Tuesday followed by a loss in San Antonio Wednesday night. The Spurs recorded their 19th consecutive win by shooting 53 percent and holding the Warriors to 42 percent from the field.

"They're a great basketball team," said Warriors coach Mark Jackson. "(They're) the best team in basketball right now for a reason. I give them a lot of credit."

Marreese Speights led the way with 22 points off the bench and Jordan Crawford added 16 in a reserve role. Klay Thompson had 15 points and Stephen Curry ended with 11 and 10 assists.

David Lee missed his fourth straight game with a strained hamstring and Andrew Bogut sat out his third consecutive tilt with a bruised groin/pelvis for the Warriors. Bogut is doubtful, while Lee and Andre Iguodala are questionable.

Golden State is sixth in the West, just 1 1/2 games ahead of Dallas and two games in front of both Memphis and Phoenix.

The Kings have won two in a row since losing three straight, and recorded a 107-102 victory Wednesday versus the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rudy Gay poured in 31 points on 12-of-24 shooting, DeMarcus Cousins added 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Ray McCallum ended with 27 points. Gay is averaging 27.7 ppg in his last three games.

"Sometimes opportunity only comes once and when it comes, you have to take advantage of it and that's what I'm trying to do now," McCallum said.

Kings guard Isaiah Thomas did not play because of a bruised right quadriceps and is listed as questionable Friday. He hasn't played since March 23 and is averaging 20.7 ppg this season.

Sacramento has an 11-27 record as the visitor this season.

The Kings are 0-3 against the Warriors this season and have lost six of the last nine contests in this series. Sacramento is only 3-12 in the past 15 meetings with the Warriors by the bay.
