Dallas opened the homestand with a loss to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, but has rebounded with back-to-back victories over the LA Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder.
In Monday's exciting 119-115 triumph over Russell Westbrook and the Thunder, Chandler Parsons scored 31 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Monta Ellis added 24 points for the Mavericks, who rallied from a 15-point deficit early in the second half to prevail for the third time in four tries.
Rajon Rondo ended with 11 points and 13 assists in the win, while Dirk Nowitzki netted 22 points.
"You get down 15 in the third, and it's easy to hang your head. But we didn't do it. We kept fighting," Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle said.
Dallas scored 30 points off 21 OKC turnovers, but was outrebounded by a 59-37 margin.
The Mavericks are even with the Clippers for the fifth seed in the West and have a 23-11 mark in Big D. They will host Memphis Friday night.
Orlando is mired in a five-game losing streak and has lost nine of the past 11 games, including Tuesday's 107-94 setback to the Houston Rockets.
Victor Oladipo led the visitors with 29 points on 11-of-21 shooting and Ben Gordon made an appearance with 13 points off the bench. Orlando was blown out, 30-16, in the fourth quarter and shot 42.7 percent.
"We missed a few open looks," said Oladipo. "At the end of the day, we have to step up and hit our shots."
Magic forward Tobias Harris played only 17 minutes and scored six points because of a sprained left ankle. Harris is averaging 17.1 ppg.
The Magic have lost 11 in a row on the road and are 10-26 as the guest. They will start a five-game homestand Friday versus Portland.
Orlando was dealt a 108-93 loss by Dallas on Jan. 31 in the Magic Kingdom. Ellis scored 25 points and handed out 13 assists in that one for the Mavericks, who have won six straight in this series.
