Arenas hopes to get Wizard on the right track

Nov 3, 2007 - 1:32 PM Orlando (1-1) at Washington (0-2) 7:00 pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards will try to pick up their first win of the season when they host the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

Washington is coming off an embarrassing 103-83 setback to the new-look Boston Celtics on Friday. Gilbert Arenas led the charge with 21 points, but shot just 5-of-20 from the field.

The loss to Celtics left the Wizards looking to avoid opening the season with three straight losses for the first time in 15 years.

Orlando, however, is also coming off a lackluster performance, a 116-92 home setback to the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

Newcomer Rashard Lewis scored 21 points and Dwight Howard added 16 and 13 rebounds for the Magic, who will play their next four game away from home.

Orlando guard Jameer Nelson has yet to figure out new coach Stan Van Gundy's offense, averaging just 8.5 points over the first two games. The point guard inked a reported $30 million, five-year contact extension earlier this week.

Orlando and Washington split the four matchups from last season, but the Magic are just 17-19 all-time on the road in the series.
