Howard, Magic look to keep road success going vs. Raptors

Nov 7, 2007 - 2:58 PM Orlando (3-1) at Toronto (2-2) 7:00 pm EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors can only hope to get the production from Chris Bosh that the Orlando Magic have received from their franchise player, Dwight Howard.

Howard and the Magic travel to the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday to meet Bosh's Raptors.

The 6-11 Howard has recorded four double-doubles to open the season, capped off by Tuesday's 28-point, 16-rebound performance in a 111-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is averaging 19 points and 14 rebounds through four games.

Howard was outstanding in four meetings with the Raptors last season, averaging 21.0 points and 12.3 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bosh is off to a slow start due a left knee injury that has dogged him since the preseason.

The 6-10 Bosh, who averaged 34.3 points and 11.3 rebounds against the Magic in three meetings last season, is averaging 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds so far.

In Tuesday's 112-85 road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Bosh managed just one point and two rebounds, going 0-for-4 from the field - only the second time in his five-year career that he did not make a single shot from the floor.

Wednesday's contest marks the third of four straight road games for Orlando, which has already defeated the Washington Wizards and the Timberwolves and will end the trip Friday against the New York Knicks.

Rashard Lewis also had a solid outing Tuesday against Minnesota, scoring 27 points while draining seven 3-pointers.

Toronto's Juan Dixon was one of the only bright spots in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Bucks, finishing with 20 points off the bench.
