James, Cavaliers look to rebound against struggling Kings
Nov 9, 2007 - 3:46 PM Cleveland (2-3) at Sacramento (1-3) 10:30 pm ESTSACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The road hasn't been particularly nice to LeBron James and crew.
James and the Cleveland Cavaliers look to even their record when they face the struggling Sacramento Kings on Friday.
Cleveland, which is in the midst of a six-game western trip, has dropped two of three to begin the road trek.
The Cavaliers dropped a 103-101 decision to Utah on Wednesday when the Cleveland defense allowed Jazz point guard Deron Williams to go coast to coast for a layup with no time left to seal the victory.
James, who drilled the game-tying 3-pointer to knot the contest at 101-101, finished with with 32 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists - his 11th career triple double.
The defending Eastern Conference champions have looked sluggish to start the year, with James shooting an underwhelming 43 percent for the floor and 64 percent from the free throw line.
Their opponent, the Kings have looked worse, suffering three blowout road losses before finally corralling a 104-98 victory in their home opener vs. Seattle on Tuesday. Kevin Martin scored a season-high 31 points for Sacramento, which trailed by 13 before rallying for the victory. In the three previous losses, the Kings were down by more than 20 at halftime in each game.
Cleveland has won two straight and three of four Sacramento, but the Kings have won 10 of 14 vs. the Cavaliers.
