Nov 9, 2007 - 3:50 PM San Antonio (4-1) at New Orleans (4-1) 8:00 pm EST

NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets are off to a stellar start. However, the San Antonio Spurs have been a thorn in their side for quite some time.

Paul and the Hornets aim to snap a seven-game losing streak to the defending champion Spurs on Friday.

The Hornets matched their franchise-best start by winning their first four games, but will try and rebound they suffered a 93-90 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

Paul has been the catalyst during their impressive start. He set a team-record with 21 assists in Tuesday's 118-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

The third-year point guard followed that up with 18 points and 12 assists and five rebounds in Wednesday's loss. That line was right on par with his season averages of 18.6 points, 12.4 assists and 5.4 boards a game.

New Orleans will need him to keep up his impressive play if it is going to beat San Antonio for the first time since December 18, 2005.

The Spurs rebounded from their first loss of the season as Manu Ginobili scored 25 points off the bench in a 88-78 win over Miami on Wednesday.
