Thomas, Bulls look for first winning streak vs. Raptors

Nov 10, 2007 - 2:32 PM Toronto (3-3) at Chicago (1-4) 8:30 pm EST

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago Bulls will try and take another step toward putting their horrid start behind them.

Tyrus Thomas and the Bulls look for a second straight win when they host the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.

Thomas scored 19 points and pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds to help Chicago to a 97-93 win over Detroit on Thursday. It was the first win of the season for the Bulls, who started 0-4 for the first time since 2004-05.

The Bulls' terrible start was surprising considering they were coming off their best season since the days of Michael Jordan. Chicago went 49-33 last season but fell in six games to Detroit in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Now the Bulls will try and gather some momentum before they embark on their longest road trip of the season. Following this game, the Bulls will have four days off before opening a six-game road trip vs. the high-powered Phoenix Suns on Thursday.

As for Toronto, it has its own problems to deal with. The Raptors dropped three straight before Chris Bosh scored 24 points and blocked a potential game-tying layup by Andre Miller in a 105-103 win over Philadelphia on Friday.

The teams split four meetings last season, but Chicago has won eight of the last nine meetings here.
