Sonics look to end four-game skid, visit Lakers
Nov 27, 2007 - 5:35 PM Seattle (2-12) at LA Lakers (7-6) 10:30 pm ESTLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- A pair of teams mired in losing streaks meet Tuesday when the Seattle SuperSonics visit the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Sonics have lost their last four games by an average of 13.3 points, including a 116-101 setback to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
Kevin Durant had one of his best games in Sunday's loss, scoring 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting. The rookie phenom leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.9 points.
The Lakers have lost their last three games - all coming against the Eastern Conference.
Kobe Bryant scored 31 points in Sunday's 102-100 loss to the New Jersey Nets and is averaging 27.3 points this season. The superstar scored 50 and 46 points, respectively, in the two most recent Los Angeles wins over Seattle last season in April.
The Sonics have lost four of the last five meetings with the Lakers and are two defeats away from matching the worst start in team history. Seattle began 2-14 in the 1967-68 season - its first season as a franchise.
