Kidd looks to continue fine season as Nets aim to break even

Dec 1, 2007 - 2:02 PM Philadelphia (5-10) at New Jersey (7-8) 7:30 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets hope to reach the .500 mark Saturday when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.

New Jersey had its three-game winning streak stopped Tuesday with a 110-103 setback to the Memphis Grizzlies. Jason Kidd collected 12 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists for his 91st career triple-double.

Kidd has three triple-doubles in his last 10 games, but the Nets are just 3-7 during that span. One of Kidd's four triple-doubles this season came in 93-88 win at Philadelphia on November 3.

One of New Jersey's biggest shortcomings thus far is their inability to stop opponents from the arc. The Grizzlies shot 50 percent (11-of-22) from 3-point range, becoming the fourth team to his at least 10 3-pointers in a game against the Nets.

If Friday is any indication, Philadelphia does not appear to be one of those teams that will add to that total.

The Sixers tied a franchise record by going 0-for-14 from 3-point range in Friday's 85-84 victory over the Washington Wizards.
