76ers look to complete home-and-home sweep of Knicks

Dec 8, 2007 - 3:44 PM Philadelphia (6-13) at New York (6-12) 7:30 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Philadelphia 76ers will go for a home-and-home sweep of the New York Knicks when the teams meet at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.

Philadelphia won, 101-90, in the first game on Friday for just its third win in its last 10 games. Samuel Dalembert had 20 points and Andre Miller added nine points and 11 assists as the Sixers defeated the Knicks for the sixth time in their last seven contests.

Two seasons ago, Philadelphia swept the home-and-home, winning in New York, 117-112 on March 31, 2006 and then defeated the Knicks by 19 points on its home floor two days later.

A win would also be the first time this campaign that the Sixers have won two straight games.

Stephon Marbury returned to New York after missing one game due to the passing of his father. The Knicks point guard played just 13 minutes - none in the second half - and scored two points.

Jamal Crawford led New York with 28 points and eight assists, while David Lee added 16 points and 11 rebounds in Friday's loss.

New York is also hoping to avoid a 6-13 start for the third straight season.
