Pacers face struggling Timberwolves

Dec 21, 2007 - 3:02 PM Indiana (14-12) at Minnesota (3-21) 8:00 pm EST

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Jermaine O'Neal and the Indiana Pacers aim to extend their winning streak against the NBA's worst team.

O'Neal and the Pacers shoot for their season-high fourth straight win Friday when they host the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Pacers haven't won four consecutive games since February 1-10, 2006. In the way is the lowly Timberwolves, who are 0-6 in their last six games and 1-9 in their last 10.

Indiana's three-game streak has come against New York, Miami and Philadelphia, three of the five worst teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Pacers cruised to an easy victory in their last contest, Wednesday's 102-85 victory over the 76ers.

Marquis Daniels scored a season-high 26 points while O'Neal delivered a terrific all-around performance, finishing with 19 points, nine rebounds, five blocks and four assists.

Little has gone right for the Timberwolves, whose 2-10 home record is the worst in the league.

Minnesota is coming off a 111-98 home loss to Golden State on Wednesday after being outscored in the third quarter, 37-17.

The Timberwolves have won their last two games at home against the Pacers and three of the last four meetings overall.
