Iverson, Redd set to battle as Nuggets host Bucks

Dec 26, 2007 - 12:59 PM Milwaukee (11-15) at Denver (16-11) 9:00 pm EST

DENVER (Ticker) - The Denver Nuggets aim for their third win in four tries when the Milwaukee Bucks come calling on Wednesday.

Last time out, Linas Kleiza hit the game-winning jumper just before the final buzzer sounded to lift Denver to a thrilling 106-105 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

"I just looked up at the clock and saw it was two seconds left, shot it up and it went in," said Kleiza, who has reached double figures in his last two games.

Nuggets superstar guard Allen Iverson has been unstoppable in December, scoring at least 30 points six times through 10 games this month. The former MVP owns a career average 30.3 points through 32 games against the Bucks.

Iverson isn't the only one entering with impressive numbers as Milwaukee's Michael Redd is averaging 27.0 points over the last four games.

Rookie Yi Jianlian put together his best performance of the season with a season-high 29 points and 10 rebounds to help Milwaukee post a 103-99 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

"There were lots of opportunities to shoot," Yi said through an interpreter. "The feeling in my hands has gotten a lot better when I'm shooting."

The Nuggets have dominated the series, winning seven of the past eight meetings over the Bucks, who are just 1-5 here since the 2002-03 campaign.
