Roy, Blazers continue road trip vs. Hawks

ATLANTA (Ticker) - For Brandon Roy and the road-weary Portland Trail Blazers, a stop in Atlanta might be just what the doctor ordered.

Roy and the Blazers continue their longest road trip of the season Monday afternoon when they visit the Atlanta Hawks.

One of the NBA's surprise teams this season, Portland is just 2-3 on its season-high seven-game road trip - a trek which included a double-overtime loss at Toronto and Saturday's 101-94 loss at Orlando.

Roy scored 25 points and dished out seven assists for the Blazers, who had won 17 of 18 games prior to the road trip.

But the Blazers have enjoyed tremendous success in Atlanta, winning their last five road games against the Hawks. Atlanta has not beaten Portland here since a 101-92 victory on January 8, 2002.

The Hawks, who have lost 14 of their last 17 overall meetings with the Blazers, hope to rebound from Friday's 89-78 loss to the Raptors.

Joe Johnson finished with 25 points and seven rebounds for Atlanta, which lost for the seventh time in its last 10 games.
