Wizards aim to down Bucks again

Jan 27, 2008 - 2:17 PM Washington (23-18) at Milwaukee (17-27) 6:00 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards look to make it two straight wins over the Milwaukee Bucks when the teams meet on Sunday.

In their first meeting, Antawn Jamison scored 24 points to lead four players in double figures as Washington coasted to a 101-77 victory on January 4 at the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee was without leading-scorer Michael Redd due to an injured left thigh. However, Redd should be ready to go in this one as he's averaging 23.6 points in 19 career games against the Wizards.

The Bucks are coming off their fifth consecutive road loss with Friday's lackluster 106-75 setback at the hands of the Toronto Raptors.

"Instead of us coming together, we just went apart from each other," said Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva, who scored 12 points. "You don't win ballgames like that."

Washington registered its third win in four outings on Friday, defeating the lowly Memphis Grizzlies, 104-93, on the shoulders of Jamison, who led the way with 24 points and 12 boards.

The 6-9 Jamison is averaging 20.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in 20 career meetings against the Bucks, who are 13-3 here in the series since the 1998-99 campaign.
