Raptors look to finish strong before All-Star break
Feb 11, 2008 - 3:39 PM San Antonio (32-17) at Toronto (27-22) 7:00 pm ESTTORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors head home Monday to face the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs in the first of two home games before the All-Star break.
The Raptors, firmly entrenched in second place behind Boston in the Atlantic Division, have alternated losses and wins in the last six games.
Toronto is coming off a 105-82 road blowout of Minnesota on Sunday, when they held the Timberwolves to 35 second-half points.
The Spurs are 4-3 on their nine-game road trip.
San Antonio had a four-game winning streak snapped Sunday with a 98-90 loss to Boston despite 22 points, 14 rebounds and six assists from Tim Duncan. The trip concludes Wednesday in Cleveland.
The Raptors defeated the Spurs in San Antonio, 83-73, in late December but have a 7-17 all-time record against the Spurs and have never swept a two-game season series.
