Celtics look to avoid three-game home losing streak

BOSTON (Ticker) - The Boston Celtics have beaten all of the teams in the NBA except two. The Phoenix Suns are one of those teams.

The Suns look to complete a season sweep on Wednesday against the Celtics, who will attempt to avoid their first three-game home losing streak of the season.

Phoenix had a seven-game winning streak end on Monday with a 110-105 loss to Detroit, but Boston still holds a comfortable lead and the tiebreaker over the Pistons in the race for the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Suns had won nine consecutive road games against East teams prior to Monday's loss and are 22-5 against the East this season. Boston is coming off a 95-90 home defeat to Philadelphia on Monday, blowing an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter in the process.

"These games are crucial to us, too," Celtics' forward Kevin Garnett said. "We are trying to establish something and a rhythm going into the playoffs."

Phoenix has won five consecutive road games against Boston and has won five straight overall versus the Celtics.

Boston's homestand continues on Friday against New Orleans - the other team the Celtics haven't beaten this season.
