Warriors begin important road trip with difficult test

The Warriors look to snap a 19-game road losing streak at the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
Golden State, which has not won at San Antonio since February 14, 1997, is currently in eighth place in the Western Conference, one-half game behind the Dallas Mavericks (45-28). Denver (45-29) is also in the hunt for the final two spots, just one-half game behind in ninth place.
The Warriors are coming off a 114-104 victory over Dallas on Sunday, led by 30 points from Monta Ellis. Andris Biedrins had his second straight double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
The Spurs, who are 31-6 at home this season, are currently on a seven-game winning streak and are tied with New Orleans (50-22) for first place in the West.
San Antonio is coming off a decisive 109-88 victory over the Houston Rockets on Sunday.
Tony Parker scored 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting, while Tim Duncan had just 13 points and six rebounds in the win. Duncan's performance snapped his streak of six straight double-doubles.
The matchup will be interesting contrast in styles as the Warriors have scored at least 100 points in 37 straight games, while San Antonio is allowing just 86.7 points during its winning streak.
The Warriors road swing includes a matchup at Dallas on Wednesday and games in Memphis and New Orleans.
