Cavaliers try to clinch fourth seed in Eastern Conference

Apr 14, 2008 - 2:21 PM Cleveland (44-36) at Philadelphia (40-40) 7:00 pm EDT

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Cleveland Cavaliers look to lock up the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.

Cleveland leads Washington (42-38) by two games in the standings and can clinch home-court with either a win or a Wizards loss. The two teams are set to meet for the third straight year in the postseason.

The Cavaliers inched closer to the fourth spot with an 84-76 victory over Miami on Sunday. Delonte West had 18 points, while LeBron James added 13, 11 rebounds and seven assists.

The Sixers have clinched their first postseason berth since the 2004-05 season but can still improve their seeding over the last two games.

Philadelphia is currently tied for sixth with Toronto (40-40), but the Raptors hold the tiebreaker.

Andre Iguodala scored 22 points to lead five players in double figures but the Sixers dropped their second straight, 109-95, to Washington on Saturday. Andre Miller chipped in 16 points and 10 assists.

The teams have split the first two meetings this season - both at Cleveland.
