Brown faces former team as Bobcats host Pistons

Nov 3, 2008 - 2:38 PM Detroit (2-0) at Charlotte (1-1) 7:00 pm. EST.

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Larry Brown looks to beat one of his many former teams on Monday when the Charlotte Bobcats host the Detroit Pistons, who seek a third straight win.

Brown, who has coach nine different teams in his Hall of Fame career, returned to coach the Bobcats this season after a two-year hiatus.

Brown coached the Pistons from 2003-05, leading them to a NBA title in 2005 - his last season in the "Motor City." Detroit bought out Brown's contract following the season. Brown spent one terrible season with the New York Knicks before being dismissed.

Brown's latest team has not had much success against his former one. The Bobcats, who are coming off a 100-87 victory over Miami, have lost four straight to Detroit.

Meanwhile, the Pistons are looking to start 3-0 for the third time in four years. Richard Hamilton scored 24 points and added seven rebounds in a 117-109 win over Saturday.

This is the start of a rough stretch for Detroit, which will play eight of its next 10 games on the road.
