Howard, Magic eye third straight win

Nov 16, 2008 - 8:20 AM Orlando (6-3) at Charlotte (3-5), 5:30 p.m. EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- It would be hard to find a player who has been more dominating than Dwight Howard this season.

Howard and the Orlando Magic go for their third straight win on Sunday when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats.

The reigning Slam Dunk champion, Howard is averaging 24.4 points, 15.0 rebounds and 3.8 blocks, while recording seven double-doubles and one triple-double.

The 22-year-old had 30 points, 19 rebounds and 10 blocks in Orlando's 109-92 victory at Oklahoma City on Wednesday and had 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 102-100 triumph at Dallas on Friday.

Bobcats center Emeka Okafor will have his hands full as Charlotte tries to win back-to-back games for the first time. The Bobcats won, 104-96, against Utah on Friday.

Okafor, who was the No. 2 pick behind Howard in the 2004 NBA Draft, is only averaging 9.6 points and 9.5 rebounds this season - both down from his career averages.

Charlotte, which lost three of its four meetings with Orlando last season, is expected to be without leading scorer Jason Richardson, who missed Friday's game with a knee injury.
