Thunder look for second win vs. Timberwolves

Nov 28, 2008 - 11:22 AM Minnesota (3-10) at Oklahoma City (1-15), 8:00 pm EST

OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- The Oklahoma City Thunder hope lightning can strike twice.

In their first season since relocating from Seattle, the Thunder aim for their second win of the campaign Friday when they host the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves - the only team they have beaten all season.

Oklahoma City hosted Minnesota on November 2 and picked up an 88-85 victory. Kevin Durant scored 18 points despite shooting 7-of-21 to lead the way for the Thunder.

However, the Thunder have lost 13 in a row, most recently Wednesday's 117-82 drubbing at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers - a game that was essentially decided at halftime.

Things have not been much better for Minnesota, which dropped eight in a row after winning its season opener and has stumbled to a 3-10 mark.

The Timberwolves look to rebound from Wednesday's 110-102 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Al Jefferson scored 28 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to pace Minnesota, which faced a 16-point halftime deficit.
