Pacers look to build off dramatic win

Nov 28, 2008 - 11:22 AM Charlotte (4-10) at Indiana (6-8), 8:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers look to build off a dramatic comeback win when they host the lowly Charlotte Bobcats on Friday.

Danny Granger scored 16 points and tipped in his own miss with 13 seconds to play as the Pacers rallied from a 10-point deficit to post a 91-90 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

The Pacers have struggled to hold second-half leads this season. They have led at halftime in 12 of their 14 games, but have just six wins. Indiana led, 56-49, against Dallas on Tuesday before losing, and also held a 12-point lead after two quarters against Miami on Saturday.

Granger joked that the Pacers should let opponents take second-half leads.

"I'm going to talk to my coach about that," Granger said with a smile. "Let's just tank it for the first 2 1/2 quarters, and then try to come back and win."

Granger and the Pacers may not have to worry about the Bobcats rallying. Charlotte is averaging an NBA-low 87.0 points and is coming off a 93-86 loss to Toronto on Wednesday.

However, the Bobcats could get a boost from the return of Jason Richardson.

Charlotte's leading scorer a season ago, Richardson practiced Tuesday for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery two weeks ago, but did not suit up Wednesday. Charlotte is 2-5 without Richardson.
