Bucks glad to have Redd, Bogut back in action

Dec 5, 2008 - 11:25 AM Charlotte (7-11) at Milwaukee (8-12) 8:30 p.m. EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- With Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut back in the lineup, the Milwaukee Bucks are ready to erase their slow start to the season.

Redd and Bogut try to lead the Bucks to back-to-back wins on Friday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats.

Milwaukee's leading scorer over each of the previous five seasons, Redd sprained his right ankle during a 94-86 victory against the New York Knicks on November 2 that helped the team improve to 2-2.

The 29-year-old guard missed the next 14 games and the Bucks stumbled to a 5-9 record over that span.

Milwaukee suffered a loss to the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers in Redd's return on Sunday, but bounced back with a 97-90 triumph over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

Redd managed 13 points in 26 minutes while Bogut, who missed the last three games with a bruised left knee, returned to score five points and grab four rebounds before leaving in the fourth quarter after he was hit in the face.

The Bobcats enter the contest on a win streak after Emeka Okafor dominated in the paint to lead the team to a 103-97 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

With the win, Charlotte claimed back-to-back victories for the first time since picking up three straight March 26-29 last season and has earned wins in four of its last six outings overall.
