Wade, Heat eying first three-game win streak of season

Dec 6, 2008 - 11:19 AM Oklahoma City (2-18) at Miami (10-9) 7:30 p.m. EST

MIAMI (Ticker) -- Dwyane Wade made sure the Miami Heat had a successful road trip.

Wade and the Heat try to continue their recent strong play when they return home to face the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

After opening a five-game Western Conference road trip with an embarrassing 106-68 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on November 26, Wade averaged 32.3 points and shot 52 percent from the field, leading Miami to three wins in its last four games to end the swing.

Despite being a game-time decision due to lingering migraines, Wade scored 23 points to go along with five rebounds, five assists and four steals, pacing the Heat to their second straight win - a 93-89 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

The NBA's leading scorer, Wade is averaging 28.4 points per game and has his team poised to earn three straight wins and move two games above .500 for the first time.

Miami should have no trouble continuing its winning ways against the Thunder, who have dropped two straight, including Friday's 98-89 setback to the Orlando Magic, after snapping a 14-game slide with an eight-point victory against the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday.
