Warriors, Thunder desperate for a victory

Dec 8, 2008 - 2:53 PM Golden State (5-15) at Oklahoma City (2-19), 8:00 p.m. EST

OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors hope to snap a nine-game losing streak when they visit the hapless Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.

Golden State is allowing 112 points per game and its defense has been abysmal during its recent skid. The Warriors have surrendered 130.5 points over their last four games.

Brandan Wright scored 13 points off the bench as the Warriors were embarrassed, 123-88, at San Antonio on Saturday. Leading scorer Stephen Jackson was held to six points in 15 minutes and left with a sprained left hand after the contest was out of hand.

Playing the Thunder may help Golden State as Oklahoma City has dropped eight straight contests at home.

Oklahoma City wrapped up an 0-3 road trip with a 105-99 setback at Miami on Saturday. Rookie Russell Westbrook scored a season-high 30 points in the loss.

Golden State has not lost 10 straight since March 8-24, 2002.
